Can you please tell me if there will another light parade in Llandudno this year (2012). The event last year was the event of the year, and if it cant be arranged would it be possible to visit Llandudno next year as it was very much appreciated by all the locals and visitors alike.

By God they make a handsome couple. I don’t know who was wearing the most Bling. I did ask to borrow Eleanor’s chain but she said no, you will only drill it and add LED’s, spoil sport never mind!!

Yes it turned out to be a very enjoyable day. I would like to thank everyone who turned up for the event. It was amazing how many bikes actually turned up on the Saturday, considering the weather. I don’t know what the whole event made for Save the Family charity, but the Lions worked hard as we did ourselves. What an enjoyable weekend!
As a special mention I would like to thank Stuart Ormerod for all his help and staunch support with publicising the event, both on this web site and on Stuarts Blog, THANKS Stuart.

Thanks Dave c and all the other organizers we had a good day in chester first time I’ve been there the wings looked as good as ever but when their lit up at night they are something else a lot of hard work time and money goes into them and you all should be proud of yourselves for doing it all for charity well done to all who turned out shame about the turnout for the parade but when word gets out the crowd will be better next year hope lions made their target nice to meet up with nice people thanks agains Dave c and Stuart Steve and Julie Boom trike

Had a great weekend. The weather was kind in the end although the original forecast was poor. Most of the day was dry just an odd shower and it was nice and dry in the evening for the light parade around the town. Never been to Chester before but very historic with some fantastic buildings and shops.The day time display was split into 3 different locations around the shops and this maximised potential collections for the Chester Lions. I have to say they did a wonderful job and there were a lot of them looking after our bikes and directing us not only in the day time but at night as well. Also I would like to say a thank you to Honda Smiths for sponsoring us as these events cost money. A special thanks for Dave C and anyone else who helped as I know a lot of work had been put in leading up to this event.
There were some lovely lit up bikes and trikes for the static light display in the evening. Trevor was lucky enough to win a cup. He has never won anything before so he was pleased.
Thanks once again for anyone who helped in any way to make this a success.

I was chatting with Ian Puliston Davies at the Chester Honda/Lions photo shoot and he told me that he has a very old Lambretta scooter, to which I added, our Sunday ride out to Betws-y-Coed would involve meeting up with a large scooter rally, with lots of vintage and customised machines, so why not come along! Jim Nightingale extended his offer of a ride on Saturday night to also include Sunday, so the deal was done (subject to Ian getting permission from here indoors) he will be with us on Sunday.

Heard about this from a ‘chicken’ on a GL1500 trike at the Wirral Egg Run. Sounds absolutely excellent – and if there is a dark corner to hide my GL1500SEN in I might even be brave enough to cover the 16 miles on it

Its weird – but the blackpool light parade actually got me on a bike for the first time 5 years ago- now the parade is coming to me! Fate that is.

Latest news 5pm to-day 27th. We have very few rooms available at the Beaufort Hotel, so if you want one, you need to book a.s.a.p.
We do have the Latymer Hotel, just minutes walk to Chester city center with secure parking and a special negotiated rate.
The camp site is taking bookings at a steady rate so come on folks, before it’s too late.
